About Father Larry Leger
Father Larry moved to Caledon in the summer of 2007 when he was appointed as the Pastor of Holy Family Roman Catholic Parish in Bolton.
Born in Toronto, Fr. Larry was raised in London (ON) and Toronto, and graduated Brebeuf College School in 1982. After graduating from the University of Toronto, he worked in Accounting and Finance for a Canadian telephone equipment maker. He entered St. Augustine’s Seminary in 1988 and was ordained to the Priesthood in 1993. Fr. Larry has served the Archdiocese of Toronto as Associate Pastor of St. Jerome’s (Brampton) and as Pastor of Holy Martyrs of Japan (Bradford) before being assigned as Pastor of Holy Family.
Larry has a brother a sister who are both teachers, and his father is a retired educator.
Larry enjoys traveling, cooking, reading about Liturgy and watching TV! (Nobody admits liking doing this these days!)
Larry became involved with CCS in 2010 with the Homelessness Partnership Strategy committee. In 2011, he was part of the Region of Peel Community Advisory Board that reviewed Government of Canada Homelessness Partnership Strategy grant requests. He continues to advocate for those whose voice is often not heard and promotes a community of inclusion and compassion.
