About Father Larry Leger
I arrived in Caledon in the summer of 2007 when I was appointed as the Pastor of Holy Family Roman Catholic Parish in Bolton.
Born in Toronto, I was raised in London (ON) and Toronto, and graduated from Brebeuf College School in 1982. After graduating from the University of Toronto, I worked in Accounting and Finance for a Canadian telephone equipment manufacturer. In 1988 I entered St. Augustine’s Seminary and was ordained to the Priesthood in 1993. I have served the Archdiocese of Toronto as Associate Pastor of St. Jerome’s (Brampton) and as Pastor of Holy Martyrs of Japan (Bradford) before being assigned as Pastor of Holy Family.
Both my brother and sister are teachers, and my father is a retired educator.
I enjoy traveling, cooking, reading about Liturgy and watching TV! (Nobody admits to liking watching TV these days!)
I became involved with CCS in 2010 with the Homelessness Partnership Strategy committee and in 2011, I was part of the Region of Peel Community Advisory Board that reviewed Government of Canada Homelessness Partnership Strategy grant request. I continue to advocate for those whose voice is often not heard and promotes a community of inclusion and compassion. CCS’ vision of a Healthy, engaged, compassionate community for all aligns totally with my focus.
