The Board of Directors
All great community organizations require an equally successful and committed Board of Directors. Be a part of a dynamic group of dedicated individuals, from a variety of sectors who are committed to helping make Caledon a healthy, engaged, compassionate community for all.
We are always interested in applicants who have skills in the fields of finance, legal services, human resources, marketing/communications and governance.
Board selection process
Our nominations process runs through the Board of Directors. Once you have completed your candidate application and resume your submission will be given to the Chair of the Board’s Governance and Nominating Committee. When CCS’ Board of Directors looks for candidates, they review all applicants on file and reach out to those whose skill sets and interests are a good match for the Board. We keep applications on file for two years.

The Board of Directors, a group of 9 – 17 community-minded people (Governance By-Laws, rev. 2010) are our Organization’s “governance beacons”.

Primarily a Governance Board, their primary role is to hire and work closely with the Chief Executive Officer while ensuring that CCS stay on course with its strategic priorities. The Board of Directors meets a minimum of ten times annually.
