CCS Transportation services getting you where you need to be – connecting Caledon

Our friendly, reliable, door-to-door transportation service is accessible and available seven days a week for Caledon residents. Our fleet includes wheelchair accessible buses, passenger vans, and cars driven by one of our many dedicated staff and volunteer drivers. What does this mean for you? Transportation is available to fit your circumstances!

Are you a Caledon Senior or an Adult with a disability?

Looking for a ride?

Caledon Community Services Specialized Transportation service is available seven days a week for Caledon seniors and people with disabilities who are unable to drive on their own.

Eligible clients are:

  1. All Caledon seniors 60+. Person with a disability 16+
  2. Caledon residents unable to drive because of a short or long-term medical disability or are experiencing mobility issues ( Applicants may be asked to provide a Physician’s note).
  3. People who require dialysis.
  4. Transportation needed due to a temporary medical need.
  5. TransHelp clients.
  6. York Region and WheelTrans transfer riders.

Are you a Caledon resident

8-59 years of age?

Caledon Community Services is pleased to announce a transportation program now available to residents of Caledon that require transportation to medical appointments, support groups, social service programs, post-secondary education, employment training, employment, volunteer activities and health and wellness programs.

Eligible clients are:

  1. Between the ages of 13 and 59 without a disability and can travel independently.
  2. Between the ages of 8 to 12 who do not require a car seat, without a disability and can travel with parent/guardian.
  3. Must reside in Caledon or be registered in a CCS program.
  4. Riders who are traveling outside of Caledon via cross boundary transfer stops
  5. Travel without a mobility aid.

  • How do I register?

    The first step before you book a ride is to register. It’s free to register, just fill out the application form that fits your needs and return it to the Transportation office.

  • How do I book a ride?

    After registering as a rider with CCS you can book a ride by email bookings@ccs4u.org or call 905-584-2300 ext. 217, 218, 221 during business hours. Nominal fees apply.

    Ride requests must be received a minimum of two business days before the ride is required. Rides can be booked a maximum of seven days in advance. Last minute ride requests may be accommodated when possible.

  • Where do I have to reside to be eligible for service?

    Individuals that reside within the municipal boundaries of the Town of Caledon, generally defined as south of Highway #9, North of Mayfield Rd, East of Winston Churchill Blvd and West of Albion-Bolton Townline.

    Transportation available if you are registered in CCS program using cross boundary transfer stop.

  • How much does a ride cost?

  • I require an escort and or a mobility aid to travel?

    If you are traveling with a PSW or escort, they must be there to assist you with translation, vision or mobility needs. Escorts ride free of charge.

    If you reside in Caledon and require a mobility aid to travel such as a wheelchair or walker you must apply to the Region of Peel TransHelp program.

    Sunday and Statutory Holidays 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

    Office Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
