I was born in Nova Scotia and graduated from St. Francis Xavier University. My wife and I moved to Ontario following graduation, and I accepted a position with Bombardier Ontario Limited, eventually becoming the Controller for the company. Following Bombardier, I joined Geac Computer Corporation as Vice President Finance for North America.
Always active in volunteerism, I was elected as the National President for the Association of Kin Clubs of Canada , overseeing over 16,000 members and 1,000 clubs. Following my involvement in Kin, I was elected as Chair of the Community Access Centers of Ontario which was a $1.2 billion dollar organization.
I moved to Bolton in 2013 and am the Past National President of the Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional Accountants of Canada, and was awarded my Fellow Distinction. I am the recipient of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal and have received four Order-in-Council appointments from the Province of Ontario.
