It is an honour to once again serve Caledon Community Services (CCS) as a member of the Board of Directors. My husband Bob and I have proudly called Caledon home for 47 years and I am deeply committed to giving back to this beautiful and vibrant community.
In 2008, I founded Volunteer MBC (Volunteer Mississauga Brampton Caledon), the volunteer Centre for the Peel region, following a 30-year career in progressively senior leadership roles in Customer and Community Relations, and Marketing and Communications at Husky Injection Molding Systems. As Executive Director of Volunteer MBC, I championed volunteerism locally, provincially and nationally, serving in leadership roles across numerous sector networks. I co-led the Ontario Volunteer Centre Network and am the past Chair of the Volunteer Canada Volunteer Centre Council.
My dad taught me the importance of “making my time count” and my journey in volunteering began shortly after immigrating from Belgium in 1978. For more than four decades, I have contributed through board service, various hands-on volunteer roles and community leadership. Currently, I serve as Chair of the Town of Caledon’s Age-Friendly Committee.
I retired in June 2025 and look forward to continuing to make a meaningful impact through my role on the CCS board. Volunteering has been a lifelong passion and purpose for me. I am dedicated to building inclusive communities and inspiring others by sharing the transformative power of volunteerism.
