English Class 1-2 (L-CCS EVC25005)

CLB 1-2 course, designed for adults who are starting to build basic English skills for everyday communication. This course helps learners develop foundational language abilities to navigate daily life, work, and community interactions. Lessons are task-oriented, learner-centred, and inclusive, based on the LINC Curriculum and PBLA Framework. Progress is monitored using CLB level descriptors, and students are encouraged to engage with their community by volunteering.

The program uses a HyFlex classroom model, allowing for in-person, hybrid, or 100% virtual participation. A typical day includes: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Asynchronous independent learning with individual teacher support as needed. 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Synchronous teacher-led activities. 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM: Continued asynchronous learning. The teacher is available from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Participants also benefit from a Digital Navigator support and access to a device loaning program through 3rd party orgs. Visit ccs4
