Michelle Veinot | Director of Community Resources

Michelle gs

Finding my way to the community non-profit sector was purely by accident. It began through an eclectic and interesting journey through the culinary world. After graduating from the Culinary Management Program and completing a post-grad diploma in Food Nutrition at George Brown College, I poured my passion into community nutrition and wellness programs in the GTA. Fascinated by the hundreds of volunteers I met in my travels, I was drawn to voluntarism and the vibrant culture that surrounded it. So I returned to Humber College and completed the Fundamentals in Volunteer Management Program.

In 2006, I found my home at CCS and have never looked back! I am energized by those who share a passion for making our community a place where everyone has a voice and opportunities to thrive. I am perplexed and frustrated that poverty, food insecurity, stigma and marginalization are still challenges affecting so many in our prosperous, forward-thinking country. I am determined to join forces with others to create effective and innovative homegrown solutions to problems that should not exist for any one of our Caledon neighbours.

I am inspired by those who share their ideas, time, commitment and enthusiasm to make good things happen in Caledon. An Idea girl, Red Sox Nation die-hard and dedicated Parrot head till the end. Lover of a good glass of red and a spicy debate. A super mom of two smart and silly boys. Continually aspiring to learn and evolve and excited to pen my next chapter…
